Organization
INTRODUCTION
The Arizona Repeater Association, Inc ("ARA") was founded in 1967. It is a
registered Arizona non-profit Corporation. The organization is for educational
purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
ARA is an organization dedicated to construction and maintanence of
Amateur Radio Repeater sites for the use of FCC Part 97 Licenced Radio Operators.
MEETINGS AND ASSOCIATION ACTIVITIES
ARA's affairs are conducted by its Board of Directors who are elected
by the membership. Each year, the Board elects four Officers from the Board.
ARA does not have a paid staff.
- ARA General Meetings are held monthly on the fourth Thursday.
- ARA Board Meetings are held monthly on the first Thursday.
ELIGIBILITY FOR MEMBERSHIP
The following criteria for membership is taken from ARA's ByLaws:
- GENERAL shall be a Radio Operator possessing an FCC amateur radio station license.
- ASSOCIATE may be granted to a person who does not hold a license and is
supportive of amateur radio.
